New York, NY – Susan E. Terry has been named Vice President, Finance and Administration, for the International Copper Association, Ltd. (ICA).

Ms. Terry holds the responsibility for all financial and administrative functions of the organization. Her duties include managing and coordinating ICA’s accounting, financial reporting, human resources, interaction with members regarding billing and collection of dues, and support of the ICA Board and its committees. Ms. Terry replaces Gerald J. McGee, who is retiring after 36 of service with ICA, and its predecessor organization, the International Copper Research Organization.

Ms. Terry brings extensive experience to this position, most recently having served as Director of Finance and Operations for the International Trademark Association in New York, where she led financial, administrative, customer service and technology functions. As Director of Business for the Statue of Liberty-Ellis Island Foundation, she was responsible for financial activities, including management of the endowment. Ms. Terry also served as Chief Financial Officer of the New York Studio School. Earlier in her career, she worked as an architect in Washington, DC, with Hartman Cost Architects, where she monitored large construction and design projects, including the Georgetown University Law Center, Winterthur Museum, and Corcoran Gallery of Art. Ms. Terry holds an M.B.A. of Finance degree from the Stern School of Business at New York University, and a B.S. degree in Architecture from the University of Virginia.

“Susan joins ICA as Vice President, Finance and Administration, a position integral to the success of the ICA Network. She brings a unique blend of experience to ICA,” said Francis J. Kane, ICA’s President. “In addition to her strong background in finance, her education in architecture and knowledge of building construction – one of the most important segments of global copper usage – will prove valuable to the organization. Susan will help ICA to continue its leadership role in the promotion and defense of copper worldwide.”

ICA is the leading organization for promoting and defending the use of copper worldwide. ICA increases awareness and usage of copper by communicating the unique attributes that make this sustainable element an essential contributor to the formation of life, advances in science and technology, and a higher standard of living throughout the world. The Association’s 38 members represent more than 80 percent of the world’s refined copper output, and are among the largest copper producers, smelter/refiners, and fabricators.
