You may not notice it, but it's there!

Copper and its alloys are used in roofs, gutters, and leaders (downpipes), and in many decorative features, such as window frames, weather vanes, urns, finials, balustrades, and shop fronts. Brass is ideal for interior uses, such as good-looking handrails, stanchions, decorative panels, and furniture, including hinges and locks. As door furniture, brass has the advantage of being a bactericide, thereby reducing the transmission of infections.

For statues, bronze has been the accepted standard material for centuries. Cast with expert precision, then assembled, finished, patinated, and waxed with great craftsmanship, bronze statues fittingly commemorate many fine achievements.

The Statue of Liberty in New York City contains 179,000 pounds (80,550 kilograms) of copper. It came from the Visnes copper mines on Karmoy Island near Stavanger, Norway, and was fabricated by French artisans.
